the BJ212 symbolized the rugged spirit of its era.

Episode 1
The Belated Wedding Car

In the first episode of Auto Dreamers, Hanswerks took on a BJ212 in near-ruin condition, and over 150 days, transformed it into a wedding car filled with emotion, history, and meaning.

From an Atlas carpet from Xinjiang to a Nardi steering wheel (named in tribute to his wife, Nadi), every detail tells the story of a husband's deep love.
In the end, director Shen Yujie drove the restored 212 into her hometown, completing a wedding a decade in the making.

“This car doesn't need any tech upgrades. The more pure it stays, the better — just like my love for my wife.”
 — Shen Yujie

A Car Reborn. A Promise Fulfilled.
Shen Yujie, once a commercial director and proud BJ212 owner,

is also a nostalgic and romantic husband.

Years ago, he married Nadi, his Uyghur wife,
quietly and without ceremony.

Work and life pulled them forward,
but the wedding they dreamed of never happened — until now.
This worn old 212 became the vehicle through
which he kept his long-overdue promise.
